Defend and fight for your right

I'm a defender in ice hockey and i somewhat seem proud of my position where once I'm not. But the defender type I like to be is offensive defence. It is simply because I'm afraid to battle for the puck if the puck at the corner of the board of anywhere around it. I'm not that strong to battle for it. But when I'm battle for it, I'll make sure, it is mine, It is my puck. I like to keep it simple when it is in the defensive zone. Do whatever necessary to keep it clear from the danger zone.
